It’s been interesting to be a witness to the political happenings this last year and try to discern what on earth is going on. Do you feel it? Or is it just me? Don’t think so … I think it’s more than just me whose head is whirling!
It’s true - the United States has past a huge and awesome milestone - a historic milestone in electing the first black American as the President of the United States - well, he’s not totally black - like he says - he’s a mutt - much like all of us really. I guess he was referring to his black/white ancestry - I’m referring to my English, Irish, Scotch, German and Native American ancestry….so in that effect, we’re all mutts. But anyway you look at it, it is a historic milestone in our young and checkered history.
I did not vote for Mr. Obama - I voted for the Republican ticket - but not without reservation. That camp also has a multitude of problems! The Democratic ticket had at its head a very eloquent and mesmerizing speaker – one with youth nipping at his heels and a halo over his head – it was hard to not miss the Piped Piper effect he had on not only the youth of our nation – nay – the world – but on all tribes, clans, and peoples of the world. He rose from obscurity and heralded a new age  - a new promise.
The Republican party had to its disadvantage, an aged man, one who didn’t have the charismatic swather of the other side. However, to his credit, he had wisdom and experience and had been tested in all sorts of water. Mr. Obama….well, from what I can gather, didn’t have much to his list of accomplishments except a community organizer type of credit. Mr. McCain tried so hard…oh so hard, to bring his party to the table – and many of us thought he might be able to pull it off when Mrs. Palin came to the party –literally.  Unfortunately, for some reason, they ended up muzzling her and keeping her under wraps – much to their own undoing. She seemed to be a bright star in the otherwise dim stage setting.
However, the powers to be (media?)  declared Mr. Obama to be the promised Messiah and his party was swept along the waves of the internet, television and radio to such an extent that the opposing party was simply washed away in the after effects.
The tide has turned – they say. The New Dawn has come – they say. America is on a new road – they say. Now it is up to each of us to walk the walk we say we believe in. We must pray for the leaders…but how do we pray? Well, I think a good start would be to pray for the SPIRITUAL AWAKENING of all the leaders to the One True God…. The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob…to pray for them to repent of all ideas, beliefs and ways that are contrary to His way. Maybe then, this country will truly be on a ‘new’ path!

have a good one! ~ Pam

There has been a major awakening among “Ephraim” in the scattered nations - there is much movement going on and people are looking up and questioning the signs in the skies.  What are we to believe? Are we to believe that after all this time, after all these thousands of years, after each generation rings the bell for the ‘end of days’ … that it is finally upon us? Truthfully - I don’t know. I’ve heard this call for 30 years now - and I must say, I will just try to be ready - no matter if it is the end of the days, or the end of my days. Either way, I Just want to be prepared and ready to meet my Creator.

There has been much excitement about a new organization forming called the World Biblical Zionists. In a nutshell, this group of leaders say that they are forming a partnership with the Likkud party in Israel. I’ve been trying to find out more about this movement, but have been unable to really pinpoint any pertinent information on the various websites of those that support this movement. I would like to know more about this than the audio clips that I’ve heard on paltalk. If you know of a website that offers more detailed information - names, dates, places ect… please email me to let me update my files. On the main site, www.biblicalzionists.org there is general information, but no listing of who is actually ‘in’ the partnership - at least not as of today.

If Ephraim is to return to the land than I would think the following passages in scripture would apply first:

Ezekiel 36:24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land. 25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. 26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

Ezekiel 37:13 And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves, 14 And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, saith the LORD.

Ezekiel 37:23 Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwellingplaces, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God.

Shouldn’t we have ‘repentance’ first?? Shouldn’t we be clean of our idols, our transgressions our detestable things? Should we not be cleansed from above?

And then in Deuteronomy we read the ‘rest of the story’.

Deuteronomy 30:1 And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call them to mind among all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath driven thee, 2 And shalt return unto the LORD thy God, and shalt obey his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul; 3 That then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath scattered thee. 4 If any of thine be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven, from thence will the LORD thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee: 5 And the LORD thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and he will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy fathers. 6 And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live. (emphasis mine)

Now, I have nothing against anyone trying to hurry the process along, if this movement is of Yahwhe, then nothing will be able to stop it - and I’ll be running to catch up. But for now, I will have to watch and see whether this thing is of Yahweh or not.  Questions need to be answered fully and ‘partners’ need to be named, it needs not to be so vague, in my humble opinion.

So you are on this walk of finding out what Torah is….what is TORAH anyway? Is it legalistic? Is it just following the laws and regulations that we can find in the bible? How do we do that anyway? We can’t slaughter our lambs and cows and whatever - what do YOU think following Torah means?

Well, let’s find out - you celebrate the Sabbath, you keep the Feast Days…you don’t eat pork…is that all there is? I don’t think so.

Let’s find out - what do you think it means?

Today is the last day of May … Sat, 31 May 2008 - or the 26th of Iyyar, 5768 the 41st day of the Omer. Today is an interesting day …. last night was another thunderstorm here in the midwest, lots of lightning, some hail and lots of holding of breath hoping that my seedlings in my garden weren’t beaten up too much. This morning, the sun is shining brightly and the air is crisp and fresh - you know that wonderful clean smell after a spring or summer rain? What a beautiful feeling it gives your whole spirit! It is refreshing and uplifting - especially on a Sabbath!

I went out to my garden - it looks wonderful and I’m so pleased with how it’s growing. The corn is poking thru the ground now at about 2″, the taters and sweet taters look pretty decent, the strawberries are loaded and I’m hoping the birds will share some with me … spinach, beans, lettuce and flax look very good - tomatoes don’t look so hot - they need a bit of help, but the peppers that I planted along side of them as a companion plant look ok. And of course then there are the numerous zucchini and squash plants…my favs - they look really good…can’t wait for some zucchini!!

As I meandered around the garden and sang some praises to Yahovah .. I was just so blessed to be able to give Him glory this wondrous morning. He is so merciful and has blessed me so much.

May His mercy endure forever.

Sweet Sabbath!

Well, here it is the middle .. no the END of May .. we’ve had a wonderful celebration of Pesach and I was so blessed….you see, this year, my oldest son, Jim led the celebration. In the past 5 years he has come so far in his walk with learning the Truth of Torah….the Word….

Everything he thought he knew from ‘church’ he had to re-examine - he had to go back and rethink, re-evaluate, re-organize. And it has been miraculous and wondrous for this momma to watch. He is married to a wonderful and godly young woman named Cheryl and we have been blessed with 4 beautiful grand daughters from these two wonderful young people. And NOW….they are walking in Torah, keeping the Sabbath and the Feast Days and teaching them to their children, and to others.

This was Jim’s first public Seder - the last two years it was a private ceremony - maybe a ‘teaching’ and practice for him and his family. But it was beautiful, sweet, and potent. There were about 100 people in attendance and every one of them were blown away. Even me……and I have been celebrating and studying from a Hebraic perspective now for about 20 years….but to see your son stand up at the head table, and proclaim that the Torah is for TODAY, that the Feast Days are FOREVER….oh my……your heart jumps and the lump in your throat…well, it was such an overwhelming experience for this momma.

Now, we look forward to Shavuot…to the giving of the Torah….a mystical and spiritual experience that will literally wash us clean and lift us up as we continue to seek out the Truth of the Word…
